| Description |
Folded as produced (edges of title-leaf worn). Autograph manuscript, in ink, on 14-stave paper, dated at the end. Comprising nine vaiations after the introduction. Israeli composer of Romanian birth: "Natra’s early works show the influence of Stravinsky, Prokofiev and Hindemith, composers whose music had been banned in Bucharest and played only by an orchestra of Jewish musicians ... Typical of his compositions is a manipulation of short motives through developing variation" (Grove Online). |
