Half calf (rather rubbed) with marbled boards (very scratched). Engraved. Small ink spot on pp.108-109. With the ownership signature of the noted organist Ann Sheppard Mounsey (1811-1891), dated 30 November 1830; she was a founding member in 1840 of the Royal Society of Female Musicians and later married William Bartholomew (1793-1867) a correspondent with Mendelssohn and translator of many of his works. |
