Description Calf (corners rubbed, boards scuffed all over, backstrip cracked but a sound firm binding). pp.213/214 torn without loss of text.  p.[vi] comprises a list of subscribers. A split-leaf Psalter: the tunes, in three parts, bound below the Psalms in Dutch door fashion, have a separate title page "A valuable collection of Sacred Musick, adapted to the various metres in Watts", [ii], 251, [iii] pp. (not in Shaw & Shoemaker). Advertisement on verso of title signed (in print) by Moses Elliot (1775-1849). p.133 being a separate title-page for the remainder of the volume: "Hymns and spiritual songs. In three books. I, Collected from the Scriptures; II, Composed on divine subjects; III, Prepared for the Lord's Supper, By Isaac Watts, Exeter, 1818" (Shaw & Shoemaker no.46717). "A separate group of editions ... may be referred to as a Boston revision ... The text is made from the original with the aid principally of the Barlow and Worcester editions", L.
