Panelled polished calf (rubbed, hupper edge of second part worn and bumped), gilt. Frontispiece engraved by John Sherwin after Hugh Howard (1675-1737) to primo part. Engraved. Armorial bookplate of "John Lord St John, Barron St John of Bletsoe in the County of Bedford" [?John, 11th Baron Saint John of Bletso (d.1757)] and initial titles with signature of "Rab St John". A handsome set. |
