Disbound, sewn. Slight water-staining at upper edges. Lacking title-page; the half title signed/annotated "Mrs Fruling" and initialled and "F.N.". Possibly by a Miss Newberry (see BUC p.588). Engraved. Comprising: The wish ('Mine be a cot beside a hill'); A sketch of the Alps, at day break ('The sunbeams streak the azure skies'); Go, go along you idle boy ('Go, go along you idle boy'); On the departure of the nightingale ('Sweet poet of the woods along adieu!'); Inscription on a grotto ('Hence! away nor dare intrude'). |
