Modern polished half calf with marbled boards, with gilt title on backstrip. Engraved. Some foxing and slight water-stain at upper outer corners of opening leaves. One of Auber’s many successful collaborations with Scribe, Le Domino Noir was first performed at the Opéra Comique, Paris, on 2 December 1837. |
