Calf (rubbed, scratched, hinges weak). Copyist's manuscript of vocal and keyboard (mostly dance) music including 31 numbered items (nos 1-21 with the titles from playing cards) and several Welsh items, and extracts from works by Dittersdorf, Hofmeister, Abt, and others. A volume used over a period of time, the entries starting at both ends but in different hands. One of the latest items added appears to be that of 'Like the wild ceaseless motion' by Mrs Norton [Caroline Sheridan Norton (1808-1877)] "copied from Miss Here's book". |
