From the European Magazine [European Magazine and London Review, 1784]. Westminster Abbey's nave is depicted from the organ screen, facing West, with the specially constructed royal box at the far end in the distance and a multitude of boxes along the aisles crowded with audience, the nave floorspace also filled with people. |
