Single sheet bifolium (affixed to a larger sheet), with envelope. Autograph letter, in ink, signed, regretting possibility of getting "to the Choral" but that it is the opening day at the Albert Hall with Elijah, and referring to the death of John Frederick Bridges first wife (Constance Ellen Moore (d.1879)). Strong was student at Christ Church and, in the next century, Bishop of Oxford. |
