Folded where previously posted. Trace of wax seal; paper tape along front inner edge (probably from mounting) and two small punctures. Autograph letter, in English, in ink, signed ('J. Booth'), about a concert on Friday 29th October which was to include Mrs Eliza Salmon (1787-1849), Robert Lindley (1776-1855) and his brother and son (William, 1801-1869), and Erskine and possibly Bellamy (?Thomas, 1770-1843); he asks whether Mori's engagements in Edinburgh and Dublin will stop him from being able to lead the orchestra and appear with Miss Mori; with a postscript about an opera party. |
